I hope you might have seen the blog post where I have shared one of our favorite salad recipes, Avocado Mango Salad. The grilled prawns with Kerala spices is one of our favorite combinations. This is one of my quick lunch/dinner items. Healthy, tasty, and less time-consuming. On top of that my husband got a good blood sugar reading. You will be wondering why I am talking about my husband. Read the ‘about me’ section on my blog. Most of the time we have it without bread, But sometimes we make a sandwich with avocado mango salad and prawns. My husband has with store bought protein bread, and kids and I have with Arabic brown bread.
Here is the recipe: serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh Prawns- 1 kg
Kashmiri chilly powder- 3 Tsp (add less or more, depends on how spicy you want)
Garlic pepper – 1 1/2- 2 Tsp (add less or more, depends on how spicy you want)
Turmeric powder- 1/2 Tsp
Sea salt- to taste
Rice bran oil- to brush
Yellow lime- 1 (optional)
METHOD:
Mix all the dry ingredients. Add prawns into it. Marinade for 3-4 hours. Grill them on a cast iron griddle or a pan grill. Brush some oil of your choice. I use rice bran oil. Squeeze some lime on top. This step is optional.
